I was going to post this on the joke board, but unfortunately it's not a joke.

In a Seattle Washington college classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States . It was pretty simple
-
the candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age.
However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president. The class was taking it in and letting her rant, but everyone's jaw hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating, 'What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?'

Yep, these are the 18 year olds that just voted in the last election.

The future leaders of our country!

I'm sure it was a joke, and if it was, it was pretty clever.

It's not a joke. I've seen a copy of the article from the Seattle paper. High schools and colleges are letting absolute idiots graduate these days.

Oh, my guava seeds!
Are you fucking serious? I can't believe this. This couldn't even pass for a blond joke, it's so awful! That's sad and frightening.
And this No Child Left Behind rule is the reason why senseless idiots are graduating from high schools and colleges. It allows no one to fail or repeat a grade.
After this, I've heard it all, and more.
I totally didn't see where this was going, but when I read the last few lines, I was absolutely speechless. People just become more and more stupid as time progresses. It just scares the shit out of me. These people are our future doctors, lawyers, politicians, economists, police officers, state representatives, Senators, and so on. Things like this just make you ask yourself: "What the hell is school for?" We invest all this money and pay taxes and these people are the so-called valuable future? I'll tell you what, our future is about as valuable as a paperweight. Most kids now absorb as much information as would a clump of dirt.
All this advancement in technology and medicine may be cool and important, but if you think about it, it's really getting us nowhere.
